Oh the delicious pies and cakes this sifter surely once helped to make!

Sift Chine sifters were made all through from the 1930's to the 1960's. I estimate this sifter to be made in the late 40's or early 50's.

This large double-sifter is stamped on the front in raised letters: " SIFT-CHINE, guaranteed satisfactory, made in USA" and in small letters on the side it is stamped: "Tested and Approved, Good Housekeeping Institute, Good Housekeeping Magazine". It features two red stripes that encircle its body.

It measures 5 3/4" tall and 7" across including the handle.

It is in good vintage condition and still works! I have lightly washed it but it is recommended that the buyer wash again before using.

The perfect accent for your retro red kitchen!
