Item details

Vintage from the 19th century

photo paper, card stock

Height: 4 Inches; Width: 6 Inches

Antique card-mounted photo shows a young woman, an invalid, in a nice wooden wheelchair. Her hair appears to have been shorn. A little boy in a dress (or possibly a little girl with hair just growing in from an illness?) stands nearby. They are posed in a well-appointed parlor.

1st image shows a high contrast view of photo - 2nd image is closer to actual color & tone. Approx. 6 x 4 inches with corner/edge wear; soiling; foxing. Photo has a bit of a musty smell from storage. Photographer's lovely stamp on back: Thos. Evans, Drawing Room Photographer, th Street, , Mich. The name Williamston is written in pencil. Circa late 1800s-1900.

Watermark doesn't actually appear on photo.
