The detail you see results from assembling the colored clays into patterns, forming a long cane. When the cane is sliced it reveals the pattern inside. A technique called millefiori that glass artists have used for centuries.
These earrings dangle from the sterling silver ear wires approx. 1&1/8" and are very light weight.
The back has a floral impression and I have put my little bee on the back of one. A little symbol I like to use to remind us that the impossible just may be possible, since bees were designed not to be able to fly!
