Vintage Button Earrings, Hypoallergenic earrings, These earrings are made with vintage black buttons that have a pattern kind of like a soccer ball. They measure 5/8" in diameter. These Hypoallergenic Earrings are made with golden anodized Niobium metal (See description below). All of the metal used to make these earrings is Niobium. The back for the post is made of nylon and is hypoallergenic as well. If you have been unable to wear earrings due to metal allergies, as I have, please give these a try, I know you will be pleasantly surprised. If you don't have metal allergies and just love these earrings, they are perfect for you too!

All About Niobium:

Niobium is relatively new to the family of metals used in jewelry findings and is a good choice for people with severe metal allergies or sensitivities. Niobium is not an alloy, it is a pure metal and so it contains no nickel or any other type of metal and is physiologically inert, thus it is extremely hypoallergenic. Everyone, even those with severe metal allergies, or those who can not wear gold or silver, can wear Niobium...The property that makes it wonderful to design jewelry with, is its ability to create durable, permanent, iridescent colors. Niobiums natural color is grey, colors are brought out in the metal by using a special process called anodization. The colors are permanent, they are not dyed or painted on.

For information on why you can wear some Hypoallergenic items and not others see "Additional Policies and FAQ's" at:

Care of your anodized Niobium jewelry:

The main thing to remember is not to use any abrasive polish or cloth that would wear the oxides down. If you want to clean Niobium, use Windex or a mild soap and water. Dry with a soft cloth. The color of Niobium does not naturally break down. If care is taken, the colors will last many years into the future.

Thank-you very much for looking :)
