This 10 inch (23cm) by 3 1/2 inch (9 cm) bowl has been thrown on the potter's wheel with deep rich stoneware clay and glazed with multiple glazes inspired by the prairie landscape that surrounds me.

It has been fired to 2300F and is safe for normal kitchen use including the microwave and oven. It is a heavy duty bowl and is made to withstand the rigors of the kitchen.

It is large enough to hold a substantial amount of food for a big family dinner, or as a generous fruit bowl.

I particularly liked the form and the way the glazes behaved on this lovely bowl,it is also a "stand alone" piece of clay art.

The glazes on this bowl is an off white satin matte glaze with speckling from the gas fired pottery surface.
