Casseroles are great for baking roasts of any kind, your favorite casserole or bean recipe. Stoneware is as great for hot foods as it is for cold foods, keeping the food hot or cold as needed while being served. They are also good for presenting your favorite recipe at a potluck.

This striking lidded casserole was made using white stoneware clay, wheel-thrown and altered, decorated with my original wax-resist technique and slip designs, then dipped in multiple Shino, Celadon and Apple Green glazes and high fired to approx. 2400F.

Food safe. The casserole bottom measures 3 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" in diameter. It's 6 1/2" tall from base to the top of the lid handle and is 9 1/2" wide from handle to handle.
It’s very durable, dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.

It is a good practice to place your bakeware in the oven when it's at room temperature. Avoid taking it out of the cold fridge and placing it in a hot oven.

A lovely covered casserole such as this one will make a fantastic gift for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or for your own baking pleasure.
