This darling short and stout book features two original pages from a Flower Fairies Calendar by artist Cicely Mary Barker. On the front cover we see the Gorse Fairies smooching on the plant/flower of the same name--Gorse. This bush symbolizes "endurance" because it holds onto a yellow bloom or two throughout the year. On the back cover is The Jack-Go-To-Bed-At-Noon Fairy blowing seeds as children are wont to do! This plant is also known as Goat's Beard. It resembles the dandelion but it is not.

I have carefully preserved these two beautiful pieces of art under many layers of varnish with sanding between every coat. The 1/4" thick wood covers measure 6 3/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. This book is well filled with about 250 creamy blank pages. This is a sweet book that would make an adorable baby gift or could be your garden journal for years to come. It is a strong and sturdy book and its pages can be drawn upon or glued upon. You get to decide. Please enjoy!

I will ALWAYS refund over-charges on shipping costs rounding up to the nearest dollar.
