This stoneware cup's glaze is a combination of an iron stain and a wood ash glaze. Together they produce this unique color that was further accentuated by the irregular movement of the flame and atmosphere during the firing. The subtle throwing rings also aid in the color changes and rings around the cup. The orange shino adds a bit of warmth and contrast to this beautiful one of a kind piece. Measures 3" tall x almost 4" wide (7.6 cm x 10 cm) and holds 10 oz.

Wheel thrown and fired to cone 10/11 (2360 F) in a gas kiln. This temperature is at the top of the firing range for ceramics and makes the clay strong and vitreous.

Food, microwave and dishwasher SAFE.

Each item is individually made by me on the potter's wheel using my custom clay and glazes that I formulate. I take great care and pride in my work to make sure I offer the best product I can. I hope you enjoy using them as much as I like making them.
