Back in the day, businessmen around the world would speak into the cute little handset correspondance or notes to then have their secretaries type up later in the day. This baby was right in there and is still looking hot today. Perfect office decor piece.

This vintage dictation machine was made by PhonoTrix in Western Germany (both the case and actual dictation machine are labeled made in Western Germany). This piece of history looks to be in perfect condition-although I have no idea whether it works or not. I don't know the power source to even give it a shot. The tape reels are still there, with the tape looking in great shape. There are buttons for forward, backward and stop. As you can see in pic. 5, there is a flap to open to plug in the handset as well as a sliding button-I'm guessing for power. The flap on the inside of the lid conceils a longer strap for carrying the case.

This is going to make an excellent display piece. Looks amazing and so unique.

This dictator machine weighs over 6 pounds which explains the inflated shipping costs.

Check out the other electronics listed on my site in the vintage electronics section. I've got a ton of cool cameras and photographic equipment.
