Triple wrapped in shades of blues and greens
Dreamcatchers are something I have enjoyed making for years. I have always found the dreamcatcher to be so beautiful and spiritual. Every dreamcatcher I make comes with a legend
The legend of the dream catcher varies from tribe to tribe, but the basic intention is to allow good dreams to slip through the the center hole and into the sleeper during the night while the bad dreams were caught in the web and would be perished at morning light. The earliest dream catchers, called sacred hoops, were crafted by parents to protect their children from nightmares. Newborns were given charms that were woven in the form of spider webs to protect their dreams so their innocence would not be harmed by the tricksters of the night. The dream catcher charm would be hung from the hoop on the cradle.
Growing up I would go to the swap meet with my family and see dream catchers for sale, the feathers dancing in the light breeze. Always wanting one for my own, I eventually got as many as my heart desired on my journey of self teaching. Large, small, beaded, they can be any color under the sun , I love them all.
Always happy to do custom orders
