This bank is made with a door made by Corbin circa 1920. It features a flying eagle with a sunburst background. The cabinet is made of ironwood . The ironwood came from wisconsin and not only does it live up to it's name (it's really hard.) but it's also beatiful with great variations in the grain. I've added a strip of alternating grain on the back so that this bank is attactive from all sides. It would be ideal for an office desk. I've left some of the bark on the add to it's rustic look.

All of the doors I use in these banks had many years of service in a Post Office and are made of bronze. Many of them are over 100 years old. This one is over 90 years old. I've rebuilt them, cleaned off the grime and got the locks working smoothly. The beauty of the doors is revealed. They are true works of art nouveau. After cleaning the window I add box number decals that are actual Post Office old stock decals. This old glass may have some chips it but, unless I mention otherwise, these will not be visible from the outside. If you want a box with a specific number I can change the number on the door for an additional $10 charge. There is a three digit limit unless I use a small decal. Then I can get 4 or 5 digits on the window.

There is a coin slot in the top and the bank is about 5 inches wide, 6 inches high and 4 1/4 inches deep.

The combination is included and taped to the bottom of the bank.

They are the perfect gift for anyone, any age. Help a child learn to save, help an adult relive their past or just enjoy the bank as a conversation piece. You'll feel the history every time you use it.

These are heavy so I ship in a medium flat rate box and charge actual shipping cost
