A colorway named for Luna Lovegood begged for a more whimsical approach...spun as a super thick and thin slub yarn, 3 oz skein, 100 yards, overall bulky weight with lots of thick and thin. Delightful!

More Harry Potter yarn! This one's for the Lovegoods, arguably the most eccentric family in J. K. Rowlings magical world, which is saying quite a lot. I envision Luna and her father Xenophilius Lovegood wearing matching garments comprised of these bright and whimsical colors-lemon drop, lime, powder blue, baby chick yellow, apple green, robin's egg, and more.

Spun lofty in a worsted weight with a bit of thick and thin, skeins weigh approximately 2 oz and measure 100 yards. Made from fine Merino/Rambouillet wool from the Punta region of South America. Multiple skeins available (about 7 in original dyelot). Please convo me for larger quantities, I normally list only 2 or 3 at a time.

Each skein of yarn is a labor of love. Recycled or local roving is hand painted with low acid dyes, steamed, and cooled for 24 hours to ensure colorfast yarn and less environmental impact as no dye is being washed down the drain. The roving is drafted and spun on my dreamy Schacht Matchless wheel, wound onto the niddy noddy and fashioned into a skein. Next, I soak the skein of yarn in a spring water and organic grapefruit/eucalyptus essential oil rinse. At this point the wet skein is blocked (dried with weights or on a yarn blocker to remove overtwist) and finally stored, awaiting a new home.
