1969 classic vintage cookbook filled with recipes, interviews and background stories about German culture and food. This volume was written about 15 years before the unification of East ad West Germany and makes references to difficulties of the divided country.

The book itself has a few worn and faded areas on the cover, but is basically in good shape. Its 208 pages include an index.

Try the Black Forest Cherry Cake, knockwurst and sauerkraut, and gingerbread recipes. One section is devoted to pastries and other sweet treats to enjoy with afternoon tea. Another is titled "The Best of Wursts." Delicious!
