W6924: For sale is a great little plaster statue or figurine of a Billiken. According to info on the web, he is a good luck piece, even luckier if you give it to someone. They were all the range in the early 1900s (1906-1912). A Billiken is currently the mascot of Saint Louis University in Missouri. Anyway, he measures about 6.5 inches tall. He is made of chalkware or plaster. He is currently painted a neat dark metallic copper, but has paint cracks, chips, etc. here and there. Under one ear is a small chip as well, but it is covered in paint so it is not that noticeable. Lets just say he has "character". But keep in mind, he is about 100 years old!! Neat piece!!

ON SALE antique Plaster or Chalkware Cute BILLIKEN Statue for Good Luck similar to a Buddha
