This is a highly collectible pottery jar from the 1940s by Red Wing Pottery and it was designed by their premier designer, Charles Murphy. She is called "KATRINA" - the Dutch Girl.
This Dutch Girl "Katrina" cookie jar, has long, bowed braids, an apron and a pointed, winged bonnet. Her apron is bowed with a large bow down the back of the cookie jar bowl. Her facial expression is delightful! She is hand painted..
She has some darkening of glaze on the bottom - due to the fat content in cookies stored in her bowl over the years of use. (see pictures). No chips or cracks.

Dimensions: Height: 10-1/2"
Depth of jar portion:6"
Width: 6-1/2"
Weight: 4 lbs
Lovely to keep & display, to use, to gift someone special or keep with your prized collection.

Reserved for JulieLynch only please Red Wing Dutch girl cookie jar
