Typically, these days, African Udus are made with clay, but traditionally they were made from gourds which produce a sound that you just can't get with clay.

This one has nice earthy, brown, red, and yellow tones.

It is 13" tall, with a 9" diameter, and a 28" circumference.

If you want to hear how gourd udus sound, check out the video I put on YouTube
titled: " two-tone udu.MP4 " And be sure to use HEADPHONES. If you don't use headphones, you won't hear the real sound at all.

All of my pieces are handmade and earth-friendly originals.
