* Due to the handmade nature of this item, slight variations in size and finish are to be expected.

These knots made from are individually handrolled coils, rather than coils extruded mechanically through a die. Each knot is then tied, cleaned, and stamped, and allowed to dry slowly over several days for bisque firing. After the first firing, they are sanded and cleaned again, and fired a second time at 2200 F in an electric kiln. I pore over each knot, making sure the shape and size are consistent throughout the batch, though each is bound to have its own personality in the handmade process.
