This intricately detailed spoon pendant was handmade using a small vintage silverplate spoon. It measures 1 3/4" from top of bail to end of the bowl, in an interesting teardrop shape. It's smaller than a teaspoon, but large for a demitasse spoon.

Abstract art can often times be anything you want it to be. To me, this piece looked like a rock scene which I envisioned as a break in a forest. A treasured place of Indians from long ago.

Grey and black rocks with washes of blue have been layered at different levels; accented with tiny red flowers that grew from a crevass. The cascade of rock faces ends with a multi-dimensional iridescent waterfall and pool at the base that flash in the sun from blue to green.

An antique silver Indian feather follows the curve of the spoon and floats on top along with a wisp of wire art and one purple crystal. All is encased within 5 layers of crystal clear resin to enhance and create a 3d effect.

This silver spoon pendant is suspended on an 18", 1.2mm silver snake chain. Two highly polished steel beads were added for accent. If you prefer a simpler look, the beads just slide off. You may also opt for a 20" or 24" chain if you wish at no extra charge. If you'd like a different length chain, just state your preference in the "Notes to Seller" during check-out.

"Ruffled Feather" comes in a presentation gift box along with a detailed Spoonfest Jewelry story card.

*** Please keep in mind that monitor settings vary, so colors can also be slightly different. If it helps, I have mine set at 2 notches below the brightest setting when editing my photos. Turn yours up or down a couple notches in each direction and if you still like what you see, we should be fine!

Although I choose and refurbish spoons very carefully, they do show small signs of 'vintage character'. Taking into consideration their age and previous history; it's pretty amazing that they shine up as beautifully as they do. I do not use any spoons that have plate loss or extreme signs of use, but please expect a few slight signs from their previous life.
I accept custom orders on a limited basis. If you'd like me to create jewelry from your silverware, please contact me via Etsy 'convo' and let me know what you have in mind.

If you don't know the name of your pattern, please include a quick picture of one of the handles. I'm very careful and cautious when working with your family heirlooms and there are a few patterns that are harder to work with, or could be problematic.

I prefer to work with either sterling silver or silverplate. Stainless steel pieces are often too thick, and therefore too hard to bend.

No custom orders can be accepted after September 1st.
Yes, Lifetime. I know, right? Since I’m not part of a group, it would have to be my life, not yours - but I don't plan on going anywhere soon.

If your item is not right upon arrival, or malfunctions in anyway within one year, I will adjust or repair it free of charge. Please contact me via Etsy ‘convo’ before sending your item back.

After the first year, if it needs repair, or even just a “tune-up”, contact me and I’ll be happy to do that for you for a $6.00 shipping & handling fee. The parts and labor are on me.

I truly want you to enjoy your piece for a lifetime.
