This is a very lovely whole ammonite fossil stone, that I have wire wrapped with Sterling Silver wire in a secure basket style setting with a double loop artsy bail. This stone also has a 4.5 mm round natural blue Tanzanite stone which has been set into the center of the spiral. The Tanzanite is a 1/2 carat stone, and has been set into a 6 prong setting, then glued into a natural hole in the fossil stone using a super strong two part epoxy. I have also secured it with wrapping the same type wire around the setting of the stone. This stone is a beauty, and is a one of a kind piece. I will send it on a free cord, the bail opening is nice and large so you can put it on many of your own necklaces and neckwires with ease.

Pendant length: 1 3/4 inchs from the top of the bail to the bottom of the stone
width: 3/4 inch across the front from side to side
Thickness: stone is 7mm, if you add the gemstone into the thickness it is 9mm. bail is 5mm
weight: total wt. of pendant 15 grams, or 44 carats
Gemstone: Natural Topaz, 8.5mm round, wt. is 1/2 carat

SHIPPING: In the U.S.A. and Canada, first item is $2.50, with every item after that an additional .50 cents each. If you reach a total of $4.00 in shipping costs that is all I charge for shipping on jewelry items in the U.S.A. Shipping special for U.S.A. & Canada; if you reach total sales of $50.00 I ship for free!, Since Etsy does not let you adjust your invoice, please don’t worry, I will refund back to your paypal account the difference of any overages paid in shipping.

This pendant will be shipped in it's own package with an informational insert that tells about the metaphysical qualities of the stone materials.(for entertainment purposes only)

This is a fossil stone, a Ammonite, which is often called snake or serpent stone. Ammonites are a type of cephalopod that appeared during the Devonian Era, and became extinct 65 million years ago. The closest living relative is the nautilus. The ammonite had sections, with the living animal occupying only the section of the shell closest to the head. As the soft bodied part of the ammonite gets larger, it grows a new shell section, sealing off the old one with a layer called the septa. As the shell fossilizes, the chambers become filled with minerals, thus the different color variation is from the different mineral content. Fossils have been revered in the magical practices of many lands, and legends explain their origins. Fossil stones have been found in mounds of many burial sites, and thought to have eased the rite of passage. They are a symbol of long life, since they contain the life force, which is released in healing in a gentle but potent way. Ammonites especially, were used traditionally to relieve pain and to ease birth. Fossils will help to bring tradition and character to a newly built house or apartment, or one in a soulless area. They help to increase domestic harmony and an organized home. All fossils are deeply protective; they help to increase intuitive understanding of crystals and stones. To recharge a fossils energy, place in an ancient place, best of all within the sound of the sea or running water.
