70% Baby Alpaca
20% Silk
10% Cashmere

100gr - 875 yds/800 meters

Just like the Cloud Fingering this yarn is what I imagine a cloud would feel like, if one could actually touch one. It is wonderfully soft and knits up into a sumptuous, drapey fabric and takes the dye colors in beautiful soft tones. This yarn is great for shawls, wraps, scarves or any project where you are looking for a luxurious skein. Since it is mostly baby alpaca it has a wonderful halo but for people who do not like 'fuzzy' wool is is probably not as appealing. At 875 yds per 100g it is not the thinest laceweight and perfect for the lace novice.

The color is a slightly variegated golden, light orange color that just glows. Hand dyed by me with acid (vinegar) dyes, there are slighter lighter and darker tones which gives the skein a great depth of color. I have tried very hard to make the photos as close as possible to the actual color but of course each computer monitor shows color differently so I apologize if the color is a bit different.

I would recommend a US 2 or US 3 needles size but really you can use anything from a US 2 - US 7 depending on the gauge needed or desired.

Handwash and since Alpaca has less give than wool block gently for things like hats or socks so it does not stretch too much.

Please let me know if you would like me to wind the skein into a central-pull cake for you at no extra charge!
