Here is a beautiful wooden mantel clock from the 1940's.

The case is made of a nice medium toned wood. I wouldn't try to guess what kind of wood it is but I love the striping on the face of it. The clock has a flip dial face that tells the hour, minutes and seconds, well that is if it worked. This clock was originally electric with a plug but someone has cut the cord and stuffed it back inside the case. The dials will rotate when gently nudged underneath. I think the knob to change the time is missing. There are no makers marks or labels anywhere.

The clock is in good shape for a vintage piece, with the finish having some small flaking of the shine on the top.

I am sure you can gather I don't know a lot about this piece. I do know it is lovely to look at and could be a great addition to someones decor or, if you are inclined, a fun piece to restore to health.
