Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty ( 1644-1911) Porcelain Shard Pendant,Vintage TibetanTurquoise, Vintage Baltic Amber,Vintage Amazonite, Vintage Picture Jasper

A very unusual and large ( 2 1/8" x 2 1/4" ) Antique Chinese Ching Dynasty shard is the focal point of this vintage hand knotted bead necklace. The design on this shard appears to be the top part of a vase and this shard has been wrapped in an ornate gold plated band.

Despite the components being Chinese in origin, I always felt this necklace had an almost Southwestern look to it. I've chosen to use 12mm picture jasper beads ( approximately 1/2" in diameter as there are 25mm to the inch ) as the main component.
Vintage Tibetan turquoise in a 14mm size pick up the blue tones in the porcelain shard, as do the 10mm amazonite beads.
There are also 6 approximately 10mm Baltic amber beads to add depth of color and and overall richness to this piece.
Finally vintage Chinese brass beads known as ' tea strainers' pick up the tone of the gold plated band around the pendant.
Silk cord has been dyed to match the picture jasper beads.

This necklace measures approximately 28" long - a total of approximately 30" with the pendant.
Shipping includes insurance within the U.S. and Internationally and this one of a kind museum quality necklace will arrive in a vintage Chinese embroidered silk purse all ready for gift giving.

◉Please note: Many people sell such shards as 'antiques' and not the reproductions that they truly are and that are currently being exported from China.
I have the documentation to prove that this is indeed a genuine Qing Dynasty ( 1644- 1912) as I purchased a few of them during a buying trip to Hong Kong during the late 1970's. True Antique shards such as this one, depicting human figures or abstract designs are quite sought after and quite rare! ◉
