One skein of Pistachio pure Cashmere yarn carefully reclaimed from a sweater. I love pistachio nuts and this color is a dead ringer. This yarn has 25 wraps per inch and is a lace weight yarn. Cashmere yarn is delightfully soft, warm, and lightweight. A cashmere goat only produces about nine ounces of this soft downy undercoat per year. This yarn is a single strand of 2 ply yarn. Remember you can always work with multiple strands to make up a "thicker" yarn. This is how many thicker sweaters are knit commercially. This yarn was recycled from a gently used Marconi sweater, carefully unraveled, wound into skeins, washed and dried unweighted. The last photo shows all of the skeins of yarn from one sweater. Each skein is listed separately.

My home is non-smoking but cat friendly.

I did find one knot in this skein. I do my best, but it is possible for me to miss a knot.

I am happy to wind this as a ball as a free service, please let me know if you prefer a ball or a skein during checkout. All wool yarns are best stored in a skein without tension. If you will be working with the yarn immediately, a center-pull ball is easiest to work from.
