This roving is a mixture of many fibers (Natural and Dyed Alpaca, Merino, Silk, Bamboo, and Angelina, and who knows what else) that I have accumulated over the last few years. I gathered them up and sent them all to Zeilinger's Mill in Frankenmuth, Michigan where they blended it into this yummy roving.

This is definitely not going to spin up as a smooth, consistent yarn because of the different fibers and fiber lengths. It will naturally be a lumpy, slubby fun yarn as you can see in the last picture. Go here to see more of the yarn that I spun from this roving. http://www.etsy.com/listing/91727003/hand-spun-yarn-154-yards

I also need to tell you that no two bundles are going to spin up exactly alike, or even look like mine. Sometimes the gray alpaca is more dominate than the brown and occasionally, different colored fiber may appear out of nowhere. It's an adventure.

In spite of all the different fibers, it spins up beautifully and, for me, wanted to be a rather thin yarn.

The color is basically brown alpaca with a hint of red to it from some of the alpaca that I dyed. It has white merino which formed some white noils. There are additions of silk - red, orange, green, blue and some white bamboo. A tiny bit of shiney angelina appears occasionally, and frankly, I don't know what else.

If you want more than this listing, let me know because I have about 3 pounds of it.
