This memory keep sake was constructed as a commemorative quilt that honors my inspiration-Aunt Lottie! As a small child, Aunt Lottie would work for hours quilting amazing pieces of folk art. She would craft dresses and clothing for me on occasion. Her enthusiasm peeked my interest and I always enjoyed looking over her shoulder to check in with her progress. As the years progressed and I found my quilting voice, my mother located a "scrap bag" of aunt Lottie's that were all very small pieces. I decided to arrange a stripe design pattern incorporating newer fabrics to utilize all the eclectic floral material. To think I almost threw out as an unusable bag!!!

To create a similar memory quilt, please choose significant clothing that can be laundered and will be comfortable to use in a quilt. Shirts, ties, coats, dresses and pants are some examples. 10-15 items usually work best, but I can work with as much as you provide. I will discuss the plans for the quilt with you and come up with a design that fits your needs. Prices range from $200.00-$500.00 depending on detail, size, and labor invested. Quilts will be hand and machine quilted. Designs and patterns for the quilt will be developed through a conversation with you about your loved one, the fabrics you provide, and my creative experience. I find that most people are pleased when the design is a surprise.

The listings are examples of quilts I have made that give you an idea of my style, quality and detail in my work. I enjoy colorful expressions, lots of geometric shapes, and funky detailing when appropriate.

Please convo me for more info and to set up a time to discuss your quilt. Once we come up with a design, I will need a $100.00 deposit and your fabrics. I will e-mail you a photo of your completed quilt and upon receipt of your balance, will mail you the quilt. Quilts will take approx. 4 weeks to complete.
