A lovely and delicate apothecary jar that's wonderful for displaying your treasures.

It has the slightest lavender tint to the glass and someone's recently decorated it with splashes of gold leaf, making it very pretty indeed. (lavender tint is associated with glass that contained manganese around the 1800s, early 1900s. Typically, manganese glass blushes lavender when placed in the sun, such as on a sunny windowsill.)

Inside the jar, you will find a handful of delightful repros of very old, antique, very romantic fortune telling cards.

The one you see in the photos is "flirtation," then there's two swallows representing "happiness," a vision of someone "neither far nor dark" and a portrait of a "fair man" as well as "medical profession, or sickness."

A black ribbon tied on the base gives this apothecary jar a dash of romantic mystery.

This measures 8" tall and would be a great addition or centerpiece to a DIY still life, boudoir, bookshelf, windowsill, bed side table.
