This little darling is a giclee print of an original painting on paper.

‘Rosa and the Warm Shiver’ has been printed with Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks with Vivid Magenta on archival Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350 gsm paper. Both the ink and paper are fade-resistant and have been tested to last for at least 120 years.

The colours are rich and look even better in your hot little hands than they do on your computer screen! Your print will also have a lovely textural quality like watercolour paper, and the effect looks stunning behind glass.

‘Rosa and the Warm Shiver’ comes from a limited edition of 30. This particular print is Nº 4. The watermark will not appear on your print, which is signed and numbered by me.

The active printed area measures approximately 17.7 cm x 22.5 cm with a white border for easy framing. The overall paper size is approximately A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm).

If you’ve any questions at all about this little treasure, please feel free to send me an Etsy conversation.

Thank-you!

The inspiration behind ‘Rosa and the Warm Shiver’

This is Rosa, my own incarnation of that wonderful story, 'Little Red Riding Hood'. As a child, I always preferred these traditional folk-takes, and 'Red Riding Hood' probably best embodies that necessary quality of a good story: to be taken somewhere else entirely. For this reason I like playing visually with the idea of a 'warm shiver': that delicious crawling down your spine, the precarious feeling that your world might be toppling, that something might be 'off the leash' so to speak, and not so nicely watching you just out of your line of vision . . .
