~ about ~

75 days. Pimiento peppers are terrific for eating fresh. The flesh is very thick, juicy, sweet, and crunchy. Also known for canning, but ours never make it that far. We usually just gobble them up fresh! Sweet pimiento is relatively early and productive, on a compact plant. The fruits are 2" x 4", round and squat. Try them stuffed with seasoned cream cheese, cut in quarters, and served on a veggie platter. Also excellent in stir fries, they get even sweeter with cooking. 25+ Organic seeds.

~ planting ~

When to sow outside: 2 to 4 weeks after average last frost when air temperature is at least 70° F and soil temperature is at least 65° F. When to start inside: RECOMMENDED. 8 to 10 weeks before average last frost. In USDA zones 9 & 10, can also sow in midsummer for fall crop.

~ harvesting ~

Peppers can be harvested green or left on the vine to turn red and very sweet.
