The ocarina, or vessel flute, has been enjoyed by cultures across the globe for thousands of years. Individually handcrafted on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, each Island Ocarina is unique. Much time and precision are used in the creation process to ensure the quality of each piece, which are finely tuned with a digital tuner. Most of the tools used to make the ocarinas are handmade. Each piece is signed.

Anyone can learn to play the ocarina. Each one comes with an owner's guide which contains playing instructions. Many ocarinas can be worn as pendants to prevent them from being dropped. People of all ages enjoy playing the ocarina. A perfect instrument for any age. They make great gifts, ideal first instruments, and are just fun to have!

Marbled English Ocarina

The English style ocarina is one of the most commonly made styles, as it can easily play the major and minor scales. It was developed in the 1960's by John Taylor. There are many songs for the English ocarina recorded in 'Ocarina Picture Tab', which makes them easy to play songs for those who are new to music.

This English ocarina is made from three types of clay. There are three triangles imprinted on the mouthpiece. It has six holes and plays in the keys of Db (major), Eb (minor), and F (double harmonic major). It can be worn as a pendant.

All English ocarinas come with a string, owner's guide, and song and scale sheet!
