beautiful Victorian era covered vegetable dish or tureen, nice green transfer ware, has most of its original gold decoration which is rare on these pieces this one is in excellent shape, no chips or damage to speak of at all, made by New Wharf pottery in England, this pattern is called "St Regis" and dates from 1891-1894. The dish with the cover on measures about 6 1/2"h to top of lid finial, about 13 1/2" from handle across to handle, cover off bottom measures 3"h, 13" from handle to handle, this is amazing condition for its age, the only imperfection I can see is a 1 1/4" line on the inside of the bottom. It has a nice mark on the bottom, says "St Regis Semi Porcelain New Wharf Pottery England", what a wonderful addition to your collection!!!
