This vintage cookie jar is in the depression glass pattern of Mayfair Open Rose by
Anchor Hocking. This pattern is from the 1930s, however I believe this to be a later reproduction from the 1970s. I am not a glass expert, but the original from the '30s would have had a small inner circle on the bottom to identify it. I purchased this cookie jar from an elderly woman who said that she had used it for many years for her cookies. I have washed out those cookie crumbs, but the lady had taken good care of her cookie jar, and it is in very good condition. I could only find just a few fleabite nicks on one side of the lid knob. I did not find any chips or nicks elsewhere on the cookie jar. There are some bubbles in the glass. The size to the top of the jar rim is 5 1/4", and the the total height to the top of the knob is 7 1/4". The rim outside diameter is 5".
