Every artist has a signature piece - something that when seen by others is instantly recognizable as yours, and the goddess pins are it for me. Published in Art Doll Quarterly magazine in 2005, the goddesses have been a feature in shops, galleries and Museums of the North East ever since.

My inspiration came from balls of beautiful yarns from France and Italy that I inherited from my beloved Aunt Ann. I'm not a knitter, and saw the yarns as funky hair. At first, the goddesses were made into dolls. But, after a woman purchased one and commented that she wished it was small enough to wear, I reduced that pattern and turned them into pins.

Each one is attached to a 4" x 5.5" display card that reads as follows - The Goddess Within, The Goddess speaks through all women. Reconnect with your own inner Goddess. Empower yourself spiritually, physically and emotionally, and set yourself free!

The pins/dolls are approximately 4" long. The body is made from batik fabric, with a handmade face, painted to compliment the colors in the fabric. Their hair is big and wild (maybe because mine is straight and flat), and most are wearing a leather/suede sash. Embellishments may include metallic threads, beads, crystals and charms.

Some women choose to wear them (great on a coat or jacket), while some choose to display them. And many are given as gifts to women who may be going through some difficulties and need to remember their inner strength.

This Goddess is green all the way. She's made from batik in shades of green, sports a sash of green suede, and has two tone green hair, with a gold feather that hangs to the right of her green and gold face. She has green metallic threads, complimentary beads, and a large pale green crystal at the bottom.

I've done my best to accurately convey the colors and particulars of this piece. Please be in touch with questions, or if you need international shipping rates.

Thank you so much for viewing my Goddess pin. I hope you'll take this opportunity to see what else I've been up to.
