This Victorian silver plate butter dish has a dome cover and is quadruple silver plated. It is decorated with the ornate etching in the silver that was popular during the late 1800s. There are two ornate arms to hold the master butter knife and it sits on four ornate feet. There is an all over tarnished patina that looks elegant and shabby. There are minor dings and scratches inside, but there is no denting on the dome.

approx 6" tall x 8 1/2" across

Signed "Manhattan Silver Plate Co. Quadruple Plate Hard 719 White Metal "

successor of Manhattan Plating Co (1877). Incorporated in International Silver Co in 1898
