ELEGANT ✔ but diminutive Porcelain cup glazed inside with bright Yellow Celadon—which beautifully contrasts the unglazed white-matte porcelain outside. An intimately sized demitasse, teacup, shot glass or small container.

★ Many years of clay work help me understand that scale and beauty have a curious relationship. As a young potter, megalomania ruled though I'm now inclined to think little is more. I love the sensitive qualities associated with small things which in my mind command more attention than large. Perhaps in part a result of personal scale—objects which comfortably fit the palm of my hand have a familiar attraction.

DETAIL ➤ The toothpicks and almonds will illustrate the scale of this 2½ inch diameter x 1.875 high cup which has a generous shot glass capacity of 2 ounces illustrated with the home brewed ale. Equivalent metric dimensions are 5 cm diameter x 6.3 cm high x 48 ml capacity.

GLAZE ➤ Rest assured this cone▲10 porcelain (1250℃) is lead-free, food-safe & in-daily-use tested. If you send me a quality photo of your unusual use—I'll seriously consider refunding my shipping cost.

HAND ➤ All of the pieces I list are entirely my own hand work: from designing the form, mixing the clay & glaze, forming my stoneware & porcelain and glazing and firing the finished work. I do everything involved but process the raw materials. The photographed piece is the actual one I will pack and ship to you.

VALUE ➤ My work is not inexpensive because I have no economies of scale. Compared to industrial manufacturing ceramic handcraft is laughably inefficient. Perhaps it's foolish to make something one step at time or perhaps that's the only way to create unique qualities?

SHIP ➤ I ship either UPS, FedEx or USPS Priority—the cost of which is included in the price for US delivery. I ship in new cartons and double box all international shipments so that your piece will arrive in perfect condition.
