CLEARANCE SALE: Bearded Man Cups

Raise a toast and save with this beautiful pair of bearded man cups!

The Bartmann (bearded man) mug/jug, also known as a Bellarmine jug, has a long and interesting history. First made in Germany in the 16th century, the jugs (which sometimes were used as mugs) were made for 200 years, spreading across Europe and even to colonial America. This particular bearded man is quite a bit newer, having been hand thrown and sculpted by Montana artist Kate Bertin in 2012.

Original Bartmann mugs were made by pressing clay into a face mold. Kate sculpted these special fellows to create original and one-of-a-kind pieces of usable art.

Height: 4 inches
Mouth Width: 2 inches

Microwave safe. Hand wash to preserve sculptural elements.
