My limited edition print series entitled ‘An amateur naturalist’s specimen collection’ is inspired by all the small, wonderful remnants of nature one finds on long beach walks, mountain hikes and woodland wanderings. Beautiful, precious things that fit perfectly into the palm of a hand...

- This tortoise shell specimen is a three colour screenprint, lovingly hand-printed by me in non-toxic, water-based ink on a high quality, acid-free, heavyweight (400gsm) watercolour paper.
- After printing I added hand-coloured details to the shell in copper-coloured gouache.
- Made in a very limited variable edition of 13 pieces.
- The image size is approximately w7.5xh9cm (±2.95x3.54”), and the paper size is w14xh21cm (±5.5x8.27”).
- As parts of the image are hand-coloured each one in the edition is unique. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th images of this listing show a print in the edition, the 1st and 5th images show the actual print you will receive if purchasing this listing (No. 2/13VE).

A note on packaging:
The print will be sent to you wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and packaged between two pieces of sturdy cardboard in a protective envelope to ensure it arrives in tip-top condition.

A note on colour:
Please bear in mind that actual colours may differ slightly from those displayed on screen.
