1970s Hollywood Regency Lighting- Hanging Swag Lamp With Cut Crystal Look Glass Shade

Well, La Di Da! This fancy shmancy swag lamp comes with it's own plug in and pull chain for the on/off function. And a it also comes with a whole load of retro formality, though it probably wasn't an overly expensive lighting fixture. This piece features a rather Rococo top in shiny gold metal and a coordinating band around the base. But what makes this piece is the large, ornately fashioned glass shade. Though it isn't cut glass, it looks like fancy crystal, and the quality of light it emits is sparkly and decidedly feminine.

Perfect for a feature corner, this piece measures about 21" from where the cord starts to the bottom of the shade. The shade's opening measures 6.5" and is in excellent condtion. The cord is wrapped around a chain that is 128: long. The chain has a lot of oxidation, and the cord, though working, has the non polarized plug from it's original manufacturer. Luckily, both of these could be replaced at your local big box hardware store, though it isn't necessarily needed. It takes a standard sized light bulb .

This would be amazing in the boudoir, as an accent light in the living room or where ever you want a touch of formality.

This piece is in excellent shape, with the only flaws being the most minor of scratches, noticed only on close, close inspection, and one of the thumb screws that hold the glass onto the metal is missing. These are available at your local big box hardware. This piece takes 3 candelabra type light bulbs, and stand up in the glass shade like candles. So this really was meant to look retro, even back in the 70s when it was put out. But the coloring, and especially the texture on the none transparent parts of the glass make this a perfect example of 70s traditional home lighting.
