This figurine of coupe in front of a planter. The couple are dress in a medieval style or clown jester clothing and playing a stringed instrument. It is marked "made in occupied Japan (upside down in my photo). There's some crazing due to it's age. I see no chips or cracks. It appears that some red/wine paint has worn off the lady's dress. This was to be used as a small planter or vase for plants, or as a toothpick holder, match holder, etc.

This would look cute re-purposed as a pin cushion. I am sure this old piece has another "purpose" out there, some where!
