I heart you anatomical heart cross stitch, completed in small frame or hoop -- *see The Links below for necklace version--

---The Story---

If you'd love to tell your loved one you love him or her, but you can't stand the over-sentimentality of writing out a heartfelt letter (and a heartfelt email seems too impersonal);

if standing in a driveway with a boombox over your head feels too cliched, but sharing ipod earbuds just isn't enough;

if you're romantic, but not ROMANTIC romantic, here's your solution: a small framed cross stitch telling your s.o. how you feel, but not in a way that won't gross anyone out -- not with sentimentality, anyway. Give them the sweetness of an "i heart you" message...but cut the treacle with an anatomical heart. It's a wonderful balance of love and snark.

---The Deets---

This is one small "i [anatomical heart] you" completed cross stitch, framed in a 3" embroidery hoop or 3" square frame. The heart is stitched in bright red, with blue, dark red and purple aorta/vena cava, and two small blood vessels wrapping around the heart muscle. The text is stitched in black in lowercase script.

*CUSTOMIZE: If you would like this stitch to include a short name or initials instead of "you," please mention it in the purchase order or convo me ("contact the seller" at the bottom of this listing). This will probably increase the amount of time before shipping slightly. Please limit the name to about 6 letters, or convo me before purchasing to ask if I can fit the name of your choice.

I also do all kinds of special orders! Convo me if there's any stitch work you want done, and you think I might be the right stitcher for the job.

*FRAME: I'm completely out of ornate style round tabletop frames, but you may choose a natural wood hoop or a square or secondhand frame (of which I do have round or oval on occasion). The hoop options hang on the wall, while the square frames are tabletop. (Secondhand frames vary but are generally designed for tabletop at this size.)

The photos show this stitch in white, red and silver frames as well as a natural wood embroidery hoop.

*GIFT WRAP: This will ship gift-wrapped if you desire, with a notecard for you to write your "to" and "from" on.

If you would like the stitch to be mailed directly to its intended recipient, let me know via convo or in the shipping order, and I will write the names into the note before sending the package to the address that you specify. Be sure to put the correct address in the "send to" field when you check out!

*SHIP: It will be shipped promptly (within a week) via USPS first class mail with delivery confirmation, or international first class mail unless a delay is noted in my shop policies, shop banner or announcements (under the banner), or I contact you via convo.

It will be sent with a bit of clean recycled cushioning paper and taped securely in a yellow envelope. Please be sure the address you'd like it sent to is correctly entered at checkout!

Frequently asked questions about aliciawatkins

I love to do custom work during the non-holiday months! I try to work on one custom project at a time so that I can give each project my full customizing attention; as a result, a significant lead time on deadlines for receiving your custom order is very much appreciated.

If possible, try to contact me at least a month in advance of a deadline for receiving a 5x7 custom cross stitch. (That said, if you're in a pinch and you know I'm the stitcher for the job, convo me anyway! If I happen to be in between custom orders, I can often get things out in a much shorter time, and like I said, I love working with customers on personalized stitchery.)
Most of my small finished cross stitches have an option for gift wrapping.

If you don't see a drop-down list as you purchase a small hooped or framed cross stitch (smaller than 4x6), but you would like your item to be wrapped in plain paper (with a small notecard for your message included), request gift wrap as you check out in the "notes to seller"!

If you're having your gift sent directly to the recipient, please double-check the address it's going to before you finish checking out, and let me know what you'd like me to write in the notecard to your recipient! :)
Mini kits are available for wholesale ordering at any time; contact me for details on which kits I have available with shelf-ready labeling, and for pricing details!

I also offer a selection of finished cross stitch available for wholesale or certain consignment situations, for stores that feel my work would be a good fit. Contact me if you're interested in carrying my work in your store, and we'll talk about what I've done in the past and what you're looking for! :)
I believe in using secondhand frames because it's eco-friendly, supports my local thrift shops, and allows me to frame your items, if you'd like that, at very low cost.

Because they are unique and unapproved by you, I don't pass on the cost of the secondhand frames to you, except for the cost of shipping (usually about a $2 difference).

When you order an item from me, rest assured that you are only paying for the stitchwork, and you may treat the frame as a "suggestion" -- if you don't like it, give the frame away! Your 4x6 or larger cross stitch will come with a mounting board that will allow you to easily pop it out of the "suggested" frame I've sent it in and into any same-sized frame of your choice.
I can't send you a photo of your options for 4x6 or larger frames; I have too many frames and a too quickly rotating stock for that. However, you're welcome to let me know your preferences in color and material (i.e. wood, metal, plastic) and I'll do what I can to accommodate your wishes.

If you receive your stitchwork and you HATE the frame I chose from my cache of secondhand frames, never fear! The stitching for a 4x6 or larger frame will be mounted on a board that you can simply pop out of the secondhand frame you received, and pop INto a frame you choose from a local store, another Etsy seller, or anywhere you find perfect frames.

Because the secondhand frames I send are free, I cannot offer replacements or frame-related refunds.
Google and Youtube are your BFFs in learning to cross stitch, but if you've purchased a kit or pattern from my shop, I can also offer you a Basic Cross Stitch instruction booklet via email. Just let me know you'd like one, and I'll send it along! :)

I heart you -- small cross stitch for your love, with anatomical heart in square frame or round hoop, gift for him or her
