A charming, folky, retro item and great to have on hand as a reference for that eminent question "Is it bigger than a bread box?" Just for comparison sake!

This firey orange-red color is a sure knock out in a kitchen, pantry or even as a mailbox. It has a knob with working latch that opens up to a two-tiered (one shelf) inside, perfect to be used as a spice rack. It is beautifully hand painted in accordance with the Ransburg company's style of the times with decorative perforations on the sides for ventilation purposes.

It is clearly in vintage condition, meaning there are some scratches and nicks, as well as rust on the bottom and interior but overall the red enamel is . It most likely pre-dates the 1950s considering it is made of tin and not aluminum.

If your looking to use it as an actual bread box or pie safe I would suggest using a shelf liner or paper towels.
