Unusual lovely little pair of vintage salt glaze salt and pepper shakers. Salt glazing is a process where salt is thrown in the kiln during the firing process. It gives the pottery an attractive and interesting orange-peel like texture. The pair are In great condition with no cracks, chips, scratches, or grazing. Bottoms are nice and clean. Measure a little over 3 inches tall and are about 2 3/4 inches wide. Handpainted navy blue design with clear glaze brings out the beauty of the clay in the pottery. Marked with "S" and "P". They need stoppers but you can buy corks, which work nicely, at most craft stores.
