I created the Tilly Pot (tm) for Tillandsia (air plants); they are designed to compliment these beautiful plants and for the ease of their care. Most air plants sit on the top of the pot making it the perfect little vase for air plants.

My Tilly Pots are hand carved / textured stoneware. They are as unique and beautiful as the plants they are designed for. Each pot is one of a kind so they are the perfect collectible.

The pot measures 3 1/8 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide and the opening in the top of the Tilly Pot (tm) is 1 3/8 inches wide.

This listing is for the Tilly pot (tm) and for the air plant photographed (Tillandsia Pseudobaileyi) - FREE SHIPPING TO THE US ONLY.

An Air plant need sbright light and watering is easy with the Tilly Pot (tm). Depending on where you live, your air plant will need to be watered once to several times a week. With the Tilly Pot (tm) you can spray the plant with water while it is in its pot or place it back in its pot right after a soak. For air plants that sit down in the pot it is best to let them dry first.

These little pots look amazing in a grouping of three on a table and they’re adorable on a window sill, anywhere you want a little cuteness. Bright office light will typically supply an air plant’s minimum lighting needs. Most air plants are slow growing; however, if the plant outgrows the vase, you need only remove a few of the lower leaves (it won’t even say ouch) for it to settle back into its home comfortably.

The Tilly Pot (tm) is watertight; it also makes an adorable vase for fresh flowers or herbs. Sprigs of mint will give your kitchen a wonderful fragrance. Fill them with lavender (without water) and let it dry naturally. Create a little bouquet of plant cuttings or perch a spider plant baby in one. They’re versatile and fun!

The perfect unique gift for someone special…that someone special may be you!

Tillandsia species are epiphytes; water and nutrients are absorbed through the leaves. There are over 500 species in the Bromeliad family. They are found in Central and South America, Mexico and the southern United States. They grow without soil; moisture and nutrients are gathered from the air.

Tillandsia will produce a single flower. Around the plant’s bloom time, they’ll produce offshoots, or pups. Each pup will follow the lifecycle by growing into a parent plant, blooming and producing pups of its own.
