"Beautifully Simple and Simply Beautiful. The Tula Negligee bordered with Margot Lace"...Tula the Creator of Glamourous at home fashions"...Available at fine stores A. Harris & Co, Neiman Marcus, I. Magnin, Lord & Taylor reads a 1945 Advertisement.

This is a Tula Nightgown with matching robe. Beautifully trimmed with raised lace embroidery on netting, skillfully hand crafted. It falls beautifully since it is cut on the bias, drapes your curves while being comfortable. It is a Creamy Ivory Color and both pieces match in color. The Gown is sleeveless and has raised lace detail and light shirring on the neckline. The back has a deep V neckline, clean and simple, shown in 4th photo. The Robe is much more detailed and decorative. It has 3/4 length sleeves that have slight gathering with ties and the same raised lace embroidery. The sleeves have some puff to them and the shoulders are lightly padded, ruching detail at the shoulders as well. There are 4 matching fabric covered buttons, they are secured into a loop. All are present and work. There is ruching or shirring detail in the waist area. There is an area that has come undone, can be repaired, maybe the last 2 columns of shirring, can be seen in main photos on the left side in waist area. I can provide a closeup photo. Hems are hand stitched in a skilled manner. The lace trim is hand stitched to the fabric. The overall condition is great considering it's true vintage age. There are a few tiny spots, light drips it appears on front of the robe, not noticeable but seen upon close inspection. This has not been laundered. There are no other flaws that I noticed. The lace is intact, seams are not coming apart. Maybe it was just worn for the honeymoon by a war bride and cherished for the past 67 years. Label reads: Tula of Narco Rayon. I have a mannequin but this would not fit on it, it isn't adjustable and the waist on the gown was too tiny. It is Small, possibly a Size 6 at best. Please refer to the measurements to ensure a proper fit. Double where appropriate. Feel free to ask any questions or for more pictures. I have additional photos of the back of the robe.
