Mela Tenorio was 88 at the time of her death in 2003; she retired from the Corps Of Engineers and she owned Mela's Ceramics. The pot is signed by the artist Mela Tenorio--Jemez, New Mexico. There are many Tenorios' it is believed she is part of Tenorio family of potters, one of the 19 Native Tribes of New Mexico.

The size of this signed piece is 7"tall x 3"base dia - Ms. Tenorio was an amazing artist.
