This great old shoe shine kit is an estate rescue! We found a vintage newspaper advertisement for this same kit in "The News and Courier" from Charleston, SC on December 22, 1957!

It is a Kiwi Shoe Groomer kit. It has a rubber pad on the top to preventing your shoe from shipping while you polish it. It also has two doors that open up to access the equipment stored inside.

This kit includes a battery operated brush with 3 different heads! We couldn't find a name on this brush. It takes 4 "D" batteries and includes a light and dark bristle brush and a buffing brush.

Also included is a Kiwi bristle brush that says "For A Longer Lasting Shines", a buffing pad with foam under it and two applicator brushes.

This box is in very good condition. There are some paint and polish splatters on it that you can see in the photos. Also the bottom is bowing a little but is still solid.

We haven't cleaned the box so you get it with all of the personality it has earned from decades of use!

The box measures 10 5/8" x 9 3/4" tall x 8 1/2" at the widest point. The hinges on both doors appear to be brass and open easily. The wood used for the box appears to be solid oak with a press board bottom.

Between the doors in the middle under the handle/foot rest is a center piece tha tis not visible in the photos.

A great vintage piece!!
