Michael James is a great American quiltmaker known for artistic design in traditionally crafted textiles. This is an early textbook he wrote about the step-by-step process of making a quilt. It is full of photographs and illustrations to guide you through every step of the process. There are also color plates of contemporary quilts. This is an interesting and beautiful early books by one of America's now most famous quiltmakers. This book gives the reader a glimpse at the beginning of the brilliant career of avant garde quilt designer Michael James He is currently the Department Chair and Ardis James Professor of Textiles, Clothing and Design in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.This used paperback book is in very good condition.
