This is a sculpture conceived and inspired over a campfire.

Museum displays of objects and curiosities have also played a role in it's conception. As does an industrial aesthetic, toys and machines, and of course natural elements.

Minimal, austere, clean and simple.

Titled ____ 'Fire In The House'.

The focal point, the 'burnt log' is truly burnt and 'preserved' with several coats of polyurethane. The black color is as it came out of the fire. Some of the white ash went away in the process. It has been 'mounted' similar to the way items are displayed in museums.

All attention should be on the burnt log, but there are 'layers' to the concept.

The 'house form' is loosely rendered in bent wire. Why is it mobile ?

Build your own story from the form.

Dimensions : approx 32"long x 18"wide x 20"high
