Betty Boop is regarded as one of the first and most famous sex symbols on the animated screen. She was created by Max Fleischer in 1930. She made her first appearance in the cartoon "Dizzy Dishes" and was originally created as a anthropomorphic French poodle! That big word means a human form or personality attributed to a thing, animal, or god. Her floppy poodle ears became her hoop earrings and Max Fleischer finalized her into human form in 1932. Her dog, who you see on the back cover of this book is named "Pudgy".

The art on these 1/4" thick wood covers are two original pages from a Betty Boop calendar. These covers measure 9" tall and 6 1/4" wide and all is filled with 200-230 cream colored blank pages. I have varnished and sanded this Betty Boop book many times over many days, inside and out, to give you a strong and sturdy journal, sketch book, diary, address book, day planner, or just about anything you could find to use it for. For a Betty Boop fan I would think this is a "must have" and would be a treasured item in their collection.

I will ALWAYS refund over-charges on shipping costs rounding up to the nearest dollar.
