From an old southern estate come this pair of gorgeous, heavy plaster frames. Elaborate filigree, French rocailles, acanthus leaves and barbola roses frame the center oval openings. These are just too awesome for words. The prints, behind glass, are of pink roses and a pansy looking flower. The frames alone are magnificent. The gold leafing looks like it may have been touched up in a few chippy places, the red undertone is showing through on the back hanger. I have not taken them apart, so don't know what is underneath the backing. These could be made of ceramic, but they are extremely heavy like plaster. They would be pretty with an antique oil painting of roses mounted in them. Measure 12" wide, 14" tall. The openings are 9" tall, 7" wide. They will be shipped separately for safety.
