A 7" tall purple-colored rectangular-shaped antique POT POURRI SACHET jar that is both embossed in the glass, comes with the original paper label on it, and is still sealed with the original embossed brass cap. This is a true antique jar dating a good 100 years old.

Jar is embossed, "RICHARD HUDNUT / NEW YORK" with several embossed designs, as seen in the pictures. The label reads "TOUT MON JARDIN / POT-POURRI SACHET / RICHARD HUDNUT / NEW YORK PARIS".

This is a very early hand Blown In Mold (BIM) jar with a hand finished lip, dating it back a good 100 years or so.

The bottle itself is in PRISTINE SPARKLING CLEAN condition. The bottle's label shows wear and part of the top looks to be missing, it is hard to tell. The label look like it is supposed to resemble a basket with a bouquet of flowers in it.

This large jar has been exposed to a high heat/light source to enrich the purple color that would naturally occur if exposed to sun light for a prolonged period of time. With few exceptions, only clear glass from before 1914 will turn sun-colored-amethyst. Not only does this deep purple/amethyst color make it a great looking jar, but it also authenticates it as being truly antique!

Only so many of these antique paper labeled Sachet jars have survived the elements of time, quite possible a unique one-of-a-kind, and quite exquisite in this sun colored lavender!
